Summary

We respect your privacy. Any personal data which you explicitly provide to us when ordering, is carefully stored in a secure place and will never, in no way be given to any third party. The Twin Folders application does not collect any personal information.

How we use personal data

For Windows version users:

We use personal data of our customers to (rarely) contact them (e.g. to notify about version updates, only if they are subscribed to be notified) and for verification purposes (e.g. to identify a registered user, who needs support but has changed their email address and/or other attributes).

For Mac version users:

The same as for Windows version users, in a case if we have any personal data of our customers. Usually we do not have any, as it is stored exclusively at Apple Inc. - see Ordering/Registration below.

Storing passwords

If you allow Twin Folders to remember your passwords for remote hosts, they are stored on your local computer only, in an encrypted way (in Windows Registry or Macintosh Keychain). Please note that encrypted passwords are hard, but not impossible to recover. If you suspect that a malicious 3rd party may have access to your computer (locally or over the network), then you may prefer to not save your passwords. You can clear saved passwords using the Security | Clear Saved Passwords menu command.
